After almost 6 months on the Asian continent, it was a little sad to say goodbye.  Fortunately, Europe offers such an enormous wealth of attractions, culture, and travel destinations that are sadness was short-lived.  Although the costs of Europe are higher (often, much higher) than in Asia, so is the standard of travel and accommodation. 

Our entry to Europe was via Istanbul, from where we traveled to Greece.  From Greece, we traveled to Italy,  and then Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Germany, etc. and eventually to Scandinavia where we visited Denmark, Norway and Sweden.  

After Scandinavia, we visited our friends, Marga and Bernd in the Netherlands, and then made our way south to France, Spain and Portugal with a little side trip to Morocco.  We ended our European tour with the United Kingdom.
